Grounded in research. Honest about the rest.
Menopause has been under-studied for decades. Here's how we build responsibly with what's known — and what isn't.
Our research foundation
MenoGlow's guidance draws on peer-reviewed literature from sources including The Menopause Society (formerly NAMS), the British Menopause Society, and endocrinology and metabolic-health journals. We prioritize systematic reviews and clinical guidelines over single studies.
Where evidence is contested — HRT protocols, phytoestrogens, exercise dosing — we say so instead of picking sides.
Methodology
Every recommendation is built from three inputs: (1) current clinical guidance, (2) your logged data, and (3) your stated goals and preferences. When those conflict, we surface the tradeoff rather than hide it.
Weight, sleep, mood, and nutrition insights use rolling multi-day windows to avoid the whiplash of daily fluctuations that are normal in perimenopause.
About the AI coach
MenoGlow's coach is a large language model layered with a menopause-specific instruction and safety framework we maintain in-house. The base model is a general-purpose LLM from a leading provider; we do not train foundation models.
We add: (1) a curated knowledge layer built from the sources above, (2) hard guardrails against diagnosing or prescribing, and (3) always-on escalation guidance — for anything urgent, the coach directs you to a clinician.
The coach is a support tool, not a doctor. It does not replace medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data. We don't train foundation models on your conversations. We don't claim menopause is a problem to fix — it's a phase to navigate, and MenoGlow is here to walk beside you.
